ABOUT
Fredrika Brillembourg is a mezzo-soprano and creative producer whose decades on the world’s opera stages inform how she conceives and shapes new work. Acclaimed for her vivid characterizations and a committed champion of contemporary opera, she created the role of Jitsuko Honda in Hosokawa’s Hanjo and was praised by the New York Times as “vocally plush and dramatically courageous.” She is currently developing War Has a Woman’s Voice.

For this presentation, the director and choreographer Luca Veggetti turns the monologue into a staged work for the compelling mezzo soprano, Fredrika Brillembourg and the renowned and riveting dancer Alessandra Ferri. The staging offers a showcase for two impressive artists, especially the vocally plush and dramatically courageous Ms Brillembourg.
